We’re at a very bad place when not even tragic accidents are off-limits to partisan politics.

A 77-year-old driver apparently lost control of his pickup truck this weekend at a gay pride event in South Florida. The truck “accelerated unexpectedly,” killing one and seriously injuring another, Fort Lauderdale police said.
